Sunday School Classes

The Sunday School classes in the Children’s and Teen’s departments use Faithweaver curriculum. The Faithweaver curriculum provides an overview of the Bible every three years. The lessons help the students understand the Old Testament as a whole, by exploring it chronologically during the Summer and Fall quarters. The Winter and Spring quarters focus on the New Testament. With Faithweaver all ages study and experience the same scripture in creative ways in separate age-appropriate classes.

Children’s Chapel

(after Sunday School) Room: ED 3
This program is geared toward children ages 2 ½ yrs. (and potty trained) – 2nd grade. The children attend the music portion of our sanctuary worship service and then they are taken to our Children’s Department. The curriculum used during this time is Faithweaver’s “Kids Own Worship”. The lessons tie in with the Sunday School lesson taught that morning.

Adult Department

Adult Faithweaver Room: MPB 201

The curriculum used focuses on the same scripture as the lessons from the children’s and teen classes. This equips families to talk about and apply their faith together every day. The teaching style of this class is group discussion.

Senior Adult Men Room: F. Hall 2
Teacher: Bro. Bill Cordell
The curriculum used in these two classes is the American Baptist Association Sunday School literature “Through-The-Bible” series. The teaching style of these classes are lecture.

Adult #2: Room MPB, Sound Booth
Teacher: Bro. Jimmy Jackson
The curriculum used is the American Baptist Association Sunday School literature “Through-The-Bible” series. The teaching style of this class is group discussion.

Christian Discipleship Room: F. Hall 1
Teacher: Bro. Maxie Haynes
The aim of the class is to aid Christians in their spiritual growth and maturity through various Bible studies, activities and fellowship. The class is open to all ages. The teaching style of this class is lecture.
